The Pars Energy Exploration and Drilling Company (PADEX) has officially commenced drilling operations on Well No. 19 at the South Yaran oil field. Following the completion of rig mobilization and equipment installation, Rig 201 began operations today in full compliance with technical and safety standards.
According to Sina Energy: This significant milestone — inaugurated at 20:00, coinciding with the Sacred Defense Week and dedicated to the honor of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (PBUH) — marks a new chapter in the company’s development activities.
The project is being carried out under a contract for drilling three new wells and providing a range of specialized drilling services, aimed at addressing the national energy supply gap and enhancing production capacity from shared oil fields along Iran’s southern border belt.
PADEX is responsible for rig operations and eight specialized drilling services, and by relying on the expertise and dedication of its technical team, the company continues to play a vital role in advancing Iran’s energy production and contributing to the sustainable development of the country’s oil industry.
