Drilling of the Third Infill Well in South Pars Completed

As the colder months approach and in line with efforts to reduce the country’s natural gas imbalance, the drilling of the first well from the third package of the South Pars gas field infill drilling project has been successfully completed by the North Drilling Company.

According to Sina Energy: As the contractor for the nine-well package of infill drilling operations in the South Pars gas field, North Drilling Company successfully carried out the drilling and completion of Well No. 6, Location B, Phase 19, which is now ready for production. The operation was executed using the Sahar-1 drilling rig and fully relied on the capabilities and services of domestic contractors, despite the technical complexity of the drilling trajectory.

The South Pars Infill drilling project, commissioned by the Pars Oil and Gas Company, comprises the drilling of 35 wells divided into four work packages. The third package, consisting of nine wells, has been assigned to the North Drilling Company. The successful completion of this well has strengthened expectations for achieving record performance in both time and technical efficiency during the completion of the remaining wells in the third package, contributing to the stable gas supply of the country during the winter season.
