Implementation of the Yazd Corridor under the Leadership of Payandan Company

The national project for transferring water from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan was inaugurated with the online participation of the President. A major segment of this project, located within the Yazd Province corridor—comprising the execution of 108 kilometers of steel pipeline and 236 valve chambers—was implemented by Payandan Company, a subsidiary of Energy Sina Holding.

According to Energy Sina, Construction operations—including the development of the operational access road, the steel pipeline transmission line, and related structures within corridors 2 to 4 of Yazd Province—began in 2022/2023 under the integrated management and round-the-clock efforts of Payandan Company. With the nationwide inauguration of the project, this section is now ready for operation.

At the inauguration ceremony, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, described the project as “a national step toward strengthening water security for industries and promoting sustainable development in the country,” and expressed appreciation for the efforts of domestic entities involved in its implementation.

According to the report, the objective of the project is to transfer water from the southern regions of the country through domestically manufactured steel pipes with a diameter of 2,000 millimeters, supplying water at a flow rate of 4.6 cubic meters per second to major industries in Isfahan Province, including the refinery, the steel mill, and other steel production units.

By utilizing domestically produced equipment and more than 300 skilled specialists, Payandan Company successfully completed the construction, commissioning, and water injection operations within this corridor. As one of the country’s experienced pipeline contractors, Payandan assumed full responsibility for comprehensive project management in this undertaking, including scope, requirements, schedule, cost, quality, resources, procurement, communications, and risk management.

The commissioning of this pipeline represents a significant step toward completing the water transfer route and strengthening the country’s critical infrastructure. The Persian Gulf water transfer project to Isfahan is one of the largest water projects in the country, aiming to desalinate and transfer 200 million cubic meters of water annually, of which 30 million cubic meters in the first phase will be allocated to Mobarakeh Steel.

Payandan Company, as one of the subsidiaries of Energy Sina Holding and a contractor specializing in oil, gas, and water transmission lines, plays a significant role in the execution of EPC and EPCC projects in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries by leveraging skilled and committed personnel, contributing to sustainable development, responsible business practices, and the fulfillment of stakeholder interests.
